What is a Boutique Hotel?

A Boutique Hotel is characterized by a small facility, with an intimate and private atmosphere compared to the usual hotel facilities. It is necessary for the structure to be indipendent, not part of a Hotel Chain. Family run facilities, for example, perfectly represent the Boutique Hotel spirit.

What mainly represents a Boutique Hotel is the high service quality, that we like to define as "personalized". Each particular and individual need of a Boutique Hotel guest must always be taken into consideration and satisfied, as far as possible.

A Boutique Hotel stands out for its attention to details. Its "exras" are a sure guarantee, and its original traits are a must.

A Boutique Hotel can greet its clients in a century-old building, in a magnificent Country Manor or in a high-tech building. Maybe in an old castle or in a luxury villa with high coffered ceilings.

In a Boutique Hotel you will find...

Refined furniture, either old or of a modern design, luxurious drapes, coffered ceilings, decorated walls, frescos and oil paintings, theme rooms, a selection of incense, Aroma-therapy, etc..

...to be used as a livingroom, furnished with a fireplace, music, ethnic furniture, old furniture, theme furniture, famous works of art. Or it could also be used as a small show room.

The staff must know each guest's needs and must try to satisfy every guest's need, as far as possible. Special dishes will be served(for vagetarian guests or guests with needs linked to religion). For the afternoon there will also be a wide selection of tea. A welcome drink prepared according to the season will be offered. In the bedroom there will be a basket with fresh season fruit.

A Boutique Hotel can offer a variety of distractions and entertainements both inside and outside the hotel facility. It can have a small panoramic swimming pool or a small gym; a sauna or steam bath; an open air jacuzzi or a masseur/masseuse on request (or a variety of beauty treatments and health therapies).
Organized City-tours or tours in the sorrounding countryside.
Culinary tours or wine tours.
Wine and cheese tasting (local products) or an aperitif served in the lobby on the notes of a special tune that maybe mirror the guests' tastes. A late afternoon aperitif before going out for dinner, to create the right mood to face a "delicious" night out.
